Krabi & Bangkok

03 Nights / 04 Days

Krabi, a coastal province, abounds with countless natural attractions that never fail to impress tourists. Such attractions include white sandy beaches, crystal clear water, fascinating coral reefs, caves and waterfalls, as well as numerous islands. Bangkok is the capital of Thailand and, with a population of over eleven million inhabitants, by far its largest city. Its high-rise buildings, heavy traffic congestion, intense heat and naughty nightlife do not immediately give you a warm welcome — but don't let your first impression mislead you. It is one of Asia's most cosmopolitan cities with magnificent temples and palaces, authentic canals, busy markets and a vibrant nightlife that has something for everyone.

“The Land of the Free”, Thailand, is an exotic Southeast Asian country, the only country in the region which was never colonized. Thus, it has retained its quintessential identity with its own unique culture and history. It is known for its splendid palaces, ancient ruins and fascinating embellished temples. Ban Chiang Archaeological Site, the Thung Yai and Huai Kha Khaeng sanctuaries, the historical park of Sukhothai, Dong Phayayen-Khao Yai Forest Complex and the Historic city of Ayutthaya make Thailand a stunning world heritage destination.

The high mountains, low rolling hills, shallow lakes, and the central plain and upland plateau impart an amazing beauty to the landscape. Numerous islands are scattered off of the peninsular coasts. Palm-studded beaches rim the idyllic bays and islands. The varied landscape is responsible for the stunning diversity of exotic flora and fauna with 8000 species of plants, 6000 insect species, and 300 species of mammal and over 1000 kinds of birds which is approximately 10% of the world bird species.

The kingdom of wonder, Thailand possesses a distinct culture heavily influenced by Buddhism. The “Chang feemue” (artisans) excel in the mastery of ceramics, painting, lacquering, moulding, plastering, engraving, sculpting, figuring and turning. The relief artwork, a distinctive sculptural technique in Thailand, produces impressive three-dimensional detail on wood. Thai traditional dance originally developed and performed as entertainment for the royal court, mesmerises the spectators. Throughout the kingdom numerous festivals like “Songkran” (Thai New Year celebration), “Loy Krathong” (festival of lights), and “Rub Bua” (the Lotus Flower Receiving Festival), “Ubon Ratchatani” (candle festival) are celebrated with great enthusiasm that give an insight into the diverse riches of Thai culture.

Thailand is known for its culinary brilliance and the cuisine for its balance of fundamental flavours. Most Thai dishes are spicy and include hot chillies, lemongrass, basil and galangal. A Thai meal consists of a soup, a curry with condiments and a dip with accompanying fish and vegetables.
