What is the best time to visit Singapore?
Dry season (February to April): This is the peak tourist season in Singapore, with the least amount of rain and the most sunshine. However, it can also be the most crowded and expensive time to visit.
Shoulder seasons (May, June, September, and October): These months offer a good balance of weather, with fewer crowds and lower prices than the peak season. However, there may be occasional showers.
What are the important places to visit in Singapore?
- Gardens by the Bay: This futuristic garden complex is a must-see for any visitor to Singapore. The Supertree Grove, with its towering tree-like structures, is an iconic landmark, and the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome offer stunning displays of plants and flowers from around the world.
- Universal Studios Singapore: This popular theme park is home to thrilling rides, movie-themed shows, and character meet-and-greets. It's a great place to spend a day with family and friends.
- Singapore Zoo: This world-famous zoo is home to over 2,800 animals from over 300 species. The zoo is known for its open concept enclosures, which allow visitors to get up close to the animals.
- Sentosa Island: This resort island is home to a variety of attractions, including Universal Studios Singapore, S.E.A Aquarium, and beaches. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the sun and sand.
- Marina Bay: This waterfront area is home to some of Singapore's most iconic landmarks, including the Marina Bay Sands hotel and casino, the Singapore Flyer observation wheel, and the Merlion statue.
How to get around in Singapore?
- MRT (Mass Rapid Transit): Singapore's MRT system is a clean, efficient, and affordable way to get around the city. The MRT network covers almost all of Singapore, and trains run frequently throughout the day. You can buy a single journey ticket or an EZ-Link card, a rechargeable card that you can use for MRT and bus rides.
- Buses: Singapore's bus network is extensive and complements the MRT system. Buses can take you to places that are not served by MRT stations. You can pay for bus rides with cash, an EZ-Link card, or a Singapore Tourist Pass.
- Taxis: Taxis are a convenient way to get around, especially if you are traveling with a group or have a lot of luggage. However, taxis can be expensive, especially during peak hours. You can hail a taxi on the street or book one through a ride-hailing app like Grab or Gojek.
